Anilao Dive Day #6

Well it rained during the night but was clear ish and warm in the morning.

Today was bacon day, a day to pig out one might say so it was traditional eggs and bacon for us both then on to the diving.

Dive #21 Mainit School

This was a regular nudi hunt and many were found though we spent most of the dive with shrimps on whip corals. A mahoosive turtle was all also hanging around for a bit.

After the surface interval (where coffee and Oreos were consumed) we dived Secret Bay (Dive #22) a regular muck dive with plenty to see.

We are currently sharing the boat with dive German colleagues (though some leave soon). We are usually first in and so 70+min dives so we are always last out. Hopefully they are all fine with that!

Back for lunch, I’m back on the Kinilaw na Tanigue (fish ceviche – spicy) which is amaze balls!

As every, one has barely finished one’s last mouthful when the menu is presented once more so you can pre order the next meal. So tonight it’s chicken Adoboe, veg chop suey and fried rice (we also decided on tomorrow’s dinner, detailed here as we will forget! Baby back ribs, coleslaw and fries!)

The afternoon dive was Siam Sim (Dive #23) a muck dive where they seem to have sunk a load of sculptures to encourage the wildlife.

Raining at the surface so quite cold relative to the warm sea.

Back on land for the 90 minute wait until the night dive. We have had enough of muck diving for the day so have requested a dive at Mainit Corner. Let’s see how that goes!

Dive #24 Mainit Corner Night dive

… And it went very well indeed. An awesome trail of nudi after nudi, some small, some as big as your head, I kid you not, a sea hare that was a good 10″ long. It was a beast! In all we saw 11 different species on that one dive, awesome.

They put us two in at Mainit Corner and then went over to secret bay with the other two divers. We did our 70 minutes and the boat was there to greet us.

A really nice dive to end the day on, excellent.

Dinner was Chicken Adobe with Chop Suey vegitables and fried rice, very Yum!
